BabySteps Savings Plan
The BabySteps Savings Plan is a program that jump-starts families into saving for their children's education, vocational training, and apprenticeship costs. Families who open a MEFA U.Fund 529 education savings account within one year of their children’s birth or adoption will receive a free $50 seed deposit to start saving for their future.
BabySteps is a collaboration between the State Treasurer’s Office of Economic Empowerment and the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) aimed at preparing families to plan for their children’s post-secondary future. You can learn more at the link below.
